At Paladoriom, your privacy is our top priority. The Moments - Daily Micro Journal application was engineered with a strict privacy-first architecture: your journal entries and moods are stored purely on your local hardware in an isolated sandbox. We have zero access to your reflections.
1. Introduction & Overview
Moments (Package Name: com.paladoriom.moments) is an offline-first micro-journaling and mood tracking application developed by Paladoriom (Muhammad Rehan). The app is designed to help you capture your thoughts, daily reflections, and emotional well-being in a quiet, distraction-free environment.
We believe your journal is strictly personal. Moments is built on a zero-data-collection, privacy-by-design architecture. We do not collect, sell, monitor, or transmit your personal data, journal entries, or mood logs to any remote server or third party.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
Unlike many online services, Moments does not collect any of the following:
- ◆No Personal Identifiable Information (PII): We do not ask for or collect your name, email address, phone number, physical address, or account credentials.
- ◆No Account Creation: You do not need to register, create a profile, or authenticate via any third-party service to use Moments.
- ◆No Location Tracking: We do not request or track your GPS or network-based physical location.
- ◆No Device Identifiers or Telemetry: We do not collect Advertising IDs (AAID), IMEI numbers, MAC addresses, or hardware fingerprints.
- ◆No Analytics or Telemetry: No third-party tracking tools, analytics SDKs (e.g., Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics, Mixpanel), or user behavior trackers are embedded in the app.
3. Data Stored Locally on Your Device
All data created while using Moments resides exclusively in a private local database on your physical device:
- ◆Journal Entries: The text reflections and thoughts you compose.
- ◆Timestamps: The creation and modification dates and times of your entries.
- ◆Mood Selections: The mood emoji or state you associate with your entries.
- ◆Favorites & Bookmarks: Flags marking specific entries as favorites.
This data is stored using Android Room / SQLite within the application's secure internal sandbox directory (com.paladoriom.moments). Other applications installed on your device cannot access this data.
4. Network Communication & Offline Operation
Moments operates 100% offline. The core journaling features of the application do not require an active internet connection. The app does not maintain any external backend servers, cloud databases, or API integrations that transmit your journal entries.
5. Device Permissions
Moments respects your device security and does not request any sensitive Android runtime permissions:
- ◆No Camera permission requested.
- ◆No Microphone permission requested.
- ◆No Contacts or Phone State permission requested.
- ◆No Location permission requested.
- ◆No External Storage or Media Library permissions requested.
6. Operating System Backups (Google Drive / Android Auto Backup)
If you have enabled Android's native system-level Auto Backup or Google Drive backup in your Android OS settings, your device may include the app's local SQLite database in your encrypted Google account backup.
This backup process is handled entirely by your Android operating system and Google Play Services under your personal Google Account credentials. Paladoriom has no access to your Google Account, backup archives, or encryption keys.
7. Third-Party Services & Advertising
Moments is completely ad-free:
- ◆We do not display third-party advertisements.
- ◆We do not integrate ad mediation networks (such as Google AdMob, Unity Ads, AppLovin, etc.).
- ◆We do not share, sell, rent, or trade any user information with data brokers or advertising partners.
8. Data Retention, Control, and Deletion
You maintain complete ownership and control over all information entered into Moments:
- ◆Individual Entry Deletion: You can delete individual journal entries at any time directly inside the app interface.
- ◆Clear App Data: You can instantly delete all entries and reset the application by navigating to Android Settings > Apps > Moments > Storage & Cache > Clear Storage.
- ◆App Uninstallation: Uninstalling the application from your Android device immediately and permanently deletes the local database and all associated records from your device storage.
9. Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR-K Compliance)
Because Moments does not collect any personal data, it is safe for users of all ages, including children under 13 years of age (or under 16 in the European Union). We strictly comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
10. Security of Your Data
Your journal entries are protected by Android's application sandboxing model, which isolates application data from other apps on the device. For maximum privacy, we recommend securing your device with a passcode, PIN, or biometric lock.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
